The Rotary Club of Wirksworth currently has 27 members. They meet every Thursday from 7 – 9pm in the Country Kitchen Restaurant at Waltham House.

A light meal is enjoyed prior to a usually engaging, always informative talk by one of our members or an invited guest.

Among its many activities, Rotary buy and decorate the annual Christmas Tree in the Market Place and take Santa and his Sleigh around Wirksworth and the surrounding villages every Christmas. Collections from the Santa Sleigh go to fund local projects.

Among other activities include many local youth projects, (see separate entry), the annual charity plant sale and monthly Memory Café, as well as more wide reaching projects such as Aquabox and Tools with a mission, (Further details of these also given separately).

It is a very lively club, with men and woman from all age groups and backgrounds, enjoying regular social events as well as a monthly business meeting.
