Wirksworth is a small, pretty, well-connected market town, with a fascinating past, and an exciting present and future.

The strength of community and the strong cultural presence means that there is so much going on, despite our relatively small size (5,038 in the last census).
Set just outside the Peak District, we have all of the wonderful great outdoors, scenery and nature you would expect from beautiful Derbyshire, with many opportunities for sport and outdoor pursuits.

Known for the industrial and archaeological history, scenery, the Carnival & Well Dressings in May, the Arts Festival in September, Wirksworth is worth visiting throughout the year.
