leaders. The walks are very supportive and go at the pace of the group rather than at a set fast pace. There are currently two led walks in Wirksworth every week, which both start at the Wirksworth Leisure Centre.

Monday 2pm – There is a very easy walk (30-75 minutes) or an easy walk (60-90 minutes) available – it is the walker’s choice on the day depending on how they feel.

Wednesday 9:45am – This is a moderate progression walk (90-120 minutes). Meet at the Leisure Centre, but sometimes participants share cars to drive to a start in different places and walk further afield.

The current guide to the scheme can always be found at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/walkingforhealth
