Out of the Cage by Alex McSweeney: Must-see theatre in November 2018

Never go back. Unite, fight… and strike.

In the centenary year since armistice, High Tor Players present Out of the Cage – the dramatic story of the women munition factory workers in WW1, and their fight to survive in a harsh and dangerous environment.

Set in 1916, this explosive play, performed for the first time away from the London stage, combines performance, physical theatre, and unique staging to engage its audience and tell its thought-provoking tale. It explores themes which are just as relevant today, including women’s rights, war, humanity, death and friendship, all set against the backdrop of the Great War.

Tickets £10 available from ticketsource.co.uk or box office 01629 733407

Please note there is a brief use of strong language and we would therefore recommend Out of the Cage for audiences over the age of 14.
